Triyoga is perhaps the most well-known chain of yoga studios in London, with 4 great studios across town. I’m a regular at Triyoga Chelsea and I’ve been to Soho a handful of times – I prefer the former as Soho can get very busy and even if they’re on the top floor of Kingly Court, you can hear all the chatter and traffic if the windows are open in the studio.
They offer a huge range of classes, from Triyoga Hot (their infrared-heated class, less hot than Bikram but much warmer than usual) to Jivamukti, to Dharma, they’ve got it all. My favourite is their Warm Vinyasa Flow class, taught by the brilliant Julie Montagu (aka the flexi foodie). This is a dynamic vinyasa flow done in standard and infrared heat. It’s a lot drier and less hot than bikram, allowing you to flow between asanas without feeling like you’re about to pass out every few seconds. They might call this a warm class, but the heat is comparable to their Triyoga Hot class.
Their Ashtanga, Iyengar and Kundalini classes were excellent, the instructors were technical but never condescending. They offer open classes for everyone, but also level 1/2/3 classes for those who want to deepen their practice. I highly recommend these as it was through these that I managed to take my practice to the next level.
They also offer Pilates, Barre and treatments.
