You can’t not visit Barry’s Bootcamp when you’re visiting the US. A few hours after I touched down at JFK, I went to Ben’s class at Barry’s Bootcamp NoHo (having done his classes at Core Collective back in London) at 2pm on a Friday expecting a rather small class, but a decent group of people turned up – do New Yorkers not have work?! Ben explained to me that I would be just fine there if I was used to training at Barry’s in London, because the workout isn’t as intense. I’m a firm believer that every workout is what you make of it, but I did run advanced speeds the whole time. I felt that the drills on the floor were more varied compared to Barry’s in London, so it felt more refreshing and fun, but he was right about the intensity. Nonetheless a great sweat, in true Barry’s style.
I also visited the Upper East Side studio and briefly walked past the TriBeCa studio – they have a few branches across town, so you can take the pick.
